Sustainability Education & Outreach Intern The ideal candidate is a talented and enthusiastic individual that is looking to work in a highly collaborative environment. Developing new skills and gaining insight into their career goals, the main objective of this internship is to educate and encourage clients as well as the broader public about sustainability as it relates to Xeriscaping.
While contributing to projects that support our three core values (Conservation - Cultivation - Co-habitation) interns will have the opportunity to work along side owners, project managers, and crew. They will also research current events, policies, and regulations effecting local resources. Research unfolding information regarding how Xeriscape and water conservation are related, with a focus on how it affects the environment both locally and globally.
Job Description:
Seek out opportunities to inform the public about the services we can offer. (tabling, conferences, expos, ect.)
Analyze, recommend changes, and develop creative outreach material to promote sustainability.
Assists with all aspects of marketing and outreach related to companies three core values.
Intern(s) may undertake a research project outside of everyday operations of the business.
Tasks assigned and based on student's background, academic goals, and interests.
Help us continue to develop and expand the companies "education webpage", social media reach, and publish a quarterly newsletter.
Requirements:
Undergraduate college student interested in environmental and water resource policy, sustainable urbanism, and habitat.
