Job Description: The Landscape Crew member is responsible for the installation of landscape and hardscape projects with precision and business-minded efficiency, including the maintenance of installed landscapes.
Essential Functions:
Prepare installation site.
Tear out and remove old landscape, preparing the site for new design.
Prune and trim trees, shrubs, and hedges, using shears, pruners, or chain saws.
Operate power equipment (such as tractors, chainsaws, tillers and bobcats)
Install plants, irrigation, and hardscape features (including retaining walls, paving stones and boulders)
Haul and spread topsoil, stone, mulch and other landscape materials
Operate tools, including rakes, shovels, saws, axes and shears
Maintain a clean and safe job site at all times.
Other duties as required.
Responsibilities:
Implements landscape improvement/renovation projects using appropriate plants and landscape
materials.
Completes the job in the most time-efficient manner meeting the company productivity targets.
Completes landscape maintenance duties, such as trimming and pruning, weed
control, irrigation repairs, spring clean-up, and fall clean-up.
If approved as a driver, safely operates vehicles such as trucks and trailer combinations.
Clear and Concise communication when interacting with clients, answering questions, and
ensuring the client's satisfaction throughout the project.
Communicates clients concerns to the team leader or management.
Ensures that all equipment safety and maintenance procedures are followed.
Assists the team leader with route and job organization, ensuring that sufficient resources and
materials are available.
Cares for equipment and notifies management of needed repairs.
Reports for duty at the designated location on time each day.
Follows directions from supervisor.
Ensures that all safety rules and company safety policies are adhered to.
Participates in all safety training sessions offered, asks questions, and improves job safety
skills.
Communicates well with all crew members, supervisor and clients.
Maintain clean and safe job site.
Must have Utah Commercial Pesticide Application License or willing to acquire
Preferred - Certified Back flow Prevention Assembly Tester.
( If not Certified than) Extensive knowledge and experience with landscape irrigation with the desire to be certified.
Responsibilities: Responsible for the installation and maintenance of water-wise landscapes. Experience with stop & waste, back flow preventers, valves, timers, overhead sprayers and drip systems.
Cut and join pipe, know the limitations of different piping systems and understand basic hydraulics.
Lay out and install piping and water delivery components; back flow prevention components; mechanical, hydraulic and electrical irrigation controls; and other irrigation system components.
Troubleshoot and repair irrigation components and systems.
Troubleshoot and test point of connection, back flow, valve functions, pipe fitting, wiring and clock programming
Install, troubleshot, and maintain drip lines as well as overhead sprinkler systems.
Willing and able to help with ground prep, Installing hardscape, planting, mulching. etc.

Landscape foreperson with 3-5 years experience. Actively working on landscape projects, running a crew, and responsible for completing all jobs on time, at or below budget. Responsible for safety, and proper use of all tools and equipment. Effective communication with crew, staff, and customers is very important. Must be motivated and have good planning skills. Landscape experience demonstrating a knowledge of plant material and planting techniques, hardscape installations, retainment techniques and experience operating a skid steer, backhoe, trucks and other landscape construction equipment, Knowledge and experience installing drip & overhead sprinkler systems. Landscape construction experience preferred: fencing, decking, pergolas, pavers, etc.
Responsibilities:
Review plans with Designer/Project Manager to understand the project scope, budget and schedule
Calculate weekly labor, materials and timesheets
Instruct team members by appointing task and assisting them in the completion of task, to ensure the project is completed within the set deadlines
Ensure that product quality requirements are satisfied
Identify possible issues before hand and assists in producing solutions and implementing them to maintain project deadlines
Participates in creating a daily plan and weekly safety meeting to ensure all projects are completed safely and efficiently
Maintain a clean and safe work site throughout the duration of the project
Maintain team moral and effectiveness
Monitor the use of and ware and tear with provided tools and equipment
Experience using herbicide

5+ Years of team lead experience
Clean Drivers license required
CDL License preferred
Must have Utah Commercial Pesticide Application License or willing to acquire
